BIO

"I want to write because I have the urge to excel in one medium of translation and expression of life. I can’t be satisfied with the colossal job of merely living. Oh, no, I must order life in sonnets and sestinas and provide a verbal reflector for my 60-watt lighted head.”

-Sylvia Plath

Lizz Dawson is a writer, lover, seeker, and woman from York, Pennsylvania, but she's often off running around the world looking for magic or her own head. She teaches yoga and writes things in between diving deep into her depths to pull her heart out from its hiding space and give it all away. Her favorite things include creative nonfiction, women writers, changing her hair color, astrology, avocados, spending too much time in coffee shops, dancing through all moments, bodies of water, Spanish music, long and quiet mornings, chasing la luna, the overflowing love in her life, and way too much self-exploration. She teaches, she lives, she writes to make you feel.
